Spanish manager Solventis has appointed Alejandro Martín responsible for the institutional sales department of the firm’s funds and sicavs.
Martín joins Solventis from Bestinver, where he worked for the firm’s team in charge of the relations with investors during six years.

Solventis recently announced it had registered itself on the funds platform Allfunds Bank, in a move aimed at easing the distribution of its funds, including its European equity strategy Solventis EOS European Equity, and its Long/Short Equity fund Solventis Apolo Absolute Return.

The firm has also said it will be launching a new version of its Spanish Direct Leasing Fund I FIL. This alternative strategy, a leasing fund for industrial machinery, aims at financing Spanish SMEs while offering attractive returns with limited risk to investors.

Christian Torres, partner and managing director of Solventis, said: «Our aim is to continue offering tailored and specialized investment solutions capable to meet investors’ current demand in a year expected to be of expansion.»

Solventis manages several collective investment institutions, like the Solventis EOS and the Solventis Apolo, alongside the firm’s discretionary mandates. The manager also has two pension plans, Solventis EOS PP – with five stars Morningstar, rated as the best pension fund of its category (eurozone equity) in 2016 -, and Solventis Cronos PP, a pure fixed income fund for participants closer to their retirement age.
